Crises Pakistan for Providing Shelter to Terrorists
starts the “First Blast” for the Ladakh Shinkun La Tunnel.
On Kargil Vijay Diwas, Prime Minister Narendra Modi warned Pakistan sternly that India will defeat any terrorist challenge amidst an increase in attacks in Jammu and Kashmir. In addition, he started the “first blast” for the Shinkun La tunnel in Ladakh, which when finished will be the tallest tunnel in the world at 15,800 feet.
Speaking to a crowd at the Kargil War Memorial, Prime Minister Modi emphasized that India not only emerged victorious from the Kargil War 25 years ago, but also established a model of “truth, restraint, and strength.” He claimed that Pakistan is currently attempting to stay relevant through terrorism and proxy conflicts, having failed in all of its previous evil endeavors.
Pakistan has not gained any insight from its past. I’m speaking to you today from a location where the masterminds of terror can hear me right. I wish to assure these supporters of terrorism that their evil goals will never be realized. With all of their might, our military will defeat terrorism and respond appropriately to the adversary, Prime Minister Modi said.
Following nearly three months of warfare in Ladakh, the Indian Army said on July 26, 1999, that “Operation Vijay” had been successful in regaining the positions that Pakistani infiltrators had taken over in the Kargil region. Kargil Vijay Diwas is observed on this day to honour India’s military victory over Pakistan.
Today, in our beautiful region of Ladakh, we celebrate the 25th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas.”Kargil Vijay Diwas serves as a reminder that the sacrifices we make for our country are eternal,” he stated.
Additionally, PM Modi accused the opposition of purposefully misleading young people and chastised them for politicising the army’s Agnipath recruitment campaign. He underlined that defense reforms are his government’s primary priority.
“There are others who are disseminating the untrue story that this program was put in place to safeguard pension funds. In thirty years, the pension issue for today’s recruits will come up. Why would the government make this decision now? The governments of that era ought to have been in charge of this. Because we place a higher priority on national security than politics, we have accepted the decision made by the military forces,” he continued.
He also underlined the quick development of Ladakh’s and Jammu & Kashmir’s tourism industry’s infrastructure.
“Jammu & Kashmir or Ladakh, India will overcome every obstacle in the way of its progress. August 5th, in a few days, marks the fifth anniversary of the repeal of Article 370. PM Modi said, “Jammu & Kashmir is now talking about a new future and dreaming big.” He had earlier shown his respects for the warriors who gave their life in the Kargil War, which took place 25 years ago, at the Kargil War Memorial in Ladakh.
The goal of the Shinkun La tunnel project is to offer all-weather access to Leh by building a 4.1-kilometer twin-tube tunnel on the Nimu-Padam-Darcha road at an elevation of about 15,800 feet. When it’s finished, it will be the highest tunnel in the world. In addition to ensuring quick and effective transit of military personnel and equipment, the Shinkun La tunnel will accelerate Ladakh’s social and economic growth.
